September 11 - Denmark headquartered Blue Water Shipping (BWS) will establish its own office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which will focus on developing its oil, gas and industrial projects business as well as its general cargo, wind and reefer logistics
"For some time, we have had our eyes set on Asia which sees high growth and where Blue Water already has a good set-up with our base in Singapore. By opening in Vietnam, we have chosen a business model that allows us to enter the market with the right strength to provide a satisfactory service for our clients both in terms of volume and quality", says Dan Nissen, director for Blue Water Shipping's Oil & Gas division.
The new office will open on October 1, 2013 and well be led by general manager in Vietnam, Flemming Johannesen, who has worked and built experience in the country for the past seven years. Six Vietnamese staff will work at the branch to ensure that local assignments can be handled from day one.
The new office is a sub-division to Jason Goh, regional general manager, Blue Water Singapore & APAC.
