Boa has taken delivery of its newbuild semi-submersible Boa Barge 38. It is available in the Singapore area for operations or cargo heading to Africa or the Americas.
Boa Barge 38 is capable of submerging to 21.5 m, has a deck strength of 35 tonnes per sq m and a deck area of 5,150 sq m. It can handle the transport, load out and float on/off of loads up to 28,500 tonnes.
The company’s Boa Barge 36, meanwhile, has been used to launch a 118 m-long mega yacht in Germany.
The yacht was built by Abeking & Rasmussen and is the largest yacht built by the yard in its more than 115-year history. It was rolled onto the barge in Lemwerder and, after seafastening and the fitting of the main mast, moved up the River Weser to Bremen.
On December 22, Boa Barge 36 was submerged onto the river bed and launched the superyacht onto the river Weser.
