Blue Water Shipping has opened a logistics warehouse for project and oversized cargo in Singapore.
The warehouse provides 45,000 sq ft (4,180.6 sq m) of indoor and 30,000 sq ft (2,787.1 sq m) of outdoor storage. It will have a special focus on oil and gas equipment and marine spares.
“With the addition of this modern warehouse, we provide short and long-term storage solutions without depending on third parties in the world’s busiest transhipment port. We can store, shift and pick and pack cargo in a reliable and sustainable way, adding additional value to our services,” said Kevin Sandhu, head of 3PL services for Blue Water Asia.
The indoor warehouse features industrial racks capable of handling 3 tonnes per beam for each rack. This, Blue Water explained, surpasses the average capacity for industrial racks. Activities in the warehouse will be supported by a range of heavy-duty forklifts, a 45-tonne reachstacker as well as a 10-tonne capacity crane.
Florian Pinz, regional general manager at Blue Water Asia, added: “Customers trust us for our professionalism and deep expertise in planning and executing each project down to the smallest detail, ensuring safe and timely deliveries every time. Safe and secure storage is a crucial part of the value we bring to the supply chain.”
