January 6 - The Baltic and International Maritime Council (Bimco) has announced that HEAVYCONRECEIPT 2007, a non-negotiable cargo receipt which was developed in connection with HEAVYCON 2007, is now available on the shipping association's database, 'idea'
HEAVYCONRECEIPT 2007 has been developed to cater for the specific nature of the heavylift/offshore trade, where it is more common to use a cargo receipt rather than a bill of lading since, in contrast to the ordinary cargo trades where the cargo may be sold on to different receivers during the voyage, there is no need for a negotiable instrument.
HEAVYCONRECEIPT 2007 can be found in the "Waybills and cargo receipts" section of idea and brings the total amount of document templates available on idea up to over 80. HEAVYCONRECEIPT 2007 is available at the cost of two print counts.
