BigLift’s CY Interocean I and BigLift Barentsz have delivered eight Liebherr 1,600-tonne capacity ship-to-shore (STS) cranes from Cadiz, Spain to Tangier in Morocco.
Big Lift Shipping and Chung Yang Shipping agreed to cooperate in the heavy shipping industry and combined parts of their fleets in 2019.
The STS cranes measured 97.2 m high and 150.4 m wide. They were loaded and discharged by ro-ro method, driven onboard by SPMTs.
CY Interocean I delivered six of the cranes in three voyages, and BigLift Barentsz delivered the final two earlier this year.
All eight cranes were destined for the container terminal TC3 of Tanger-Med port.
In a separate project, CY Interocean I delivered two 1,270-tonne capacity STS cranes and six rubber-tyred gantry cranes from Oita in Japan to Puerto Bolivar, Ecuador on behalf of Mitsui E&S.
