November 29 - Moscow-based Beluga Projects Logistic has completed the first phase of a complex project at the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.
As part of the major overhaul and repair contract, Beluga Projects utilised technology developed by two metallurgical institutes - the Gipromez Institute and JSC Prokatmontazh - to install newly constructed steel production line presses on a temporary foundation.
Beluga Projects claims the technology was being used in Russia for the first time, and led to minimal interruption in the production process.
In the next phase of the project, the fully assembled presses will be moved to the plant in Magnitogorsk, for re-installation on a permanent foundation.
Beluga Projects Logistic is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Russia.
