Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (Asco) has modernised its tug vessel Om.
Repairs took place at the Bibi-Heybat shipyard; the vessel’s main and auxiliary engines, pumps, pipelines, living quarters, sanitary facilities were overhauled. The tug was repainted and electrical equipment was repaired.
After passing sea trials, the tug was put back into operation on the Caspian Sea.
Asco tug vessels are used for towing heavy structures and drilling rigs, anchor transport, and to resupply oil and gas production facilities.
