Antonov Company will provide additional support to the Strategic Airlift International Solution (SALIS) programme.
According to Antonov, it will provide "the necessary number of AN-124-100 aircraft" to support strategic air transportations in the interest of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and EU nations.
Under the SALIS agreement, both Antonov Airlines and Russia's Volga-Dnepr have provided a total of six AN-124 aircraft for charter services, primarily moving military and humanitarian goods, for NATO and partner nations.
Antonov's announcement follows media reports suggesting that Russia's Volga-Dnepr has withdrawn from the SALIS agreement.
