APL has enhanced its China Philippines Express 1 (CP1) service with additional calls at the Chinese port of Xiamen and Batangas in the Philippines.
The port calls extend the market coverage of the weekly shortsea service that links south China and the Philippines, facilitating shipments into and out of the Calabarzon region of the Philippines.
According to APL, shippers can leverage its extensive service network via the hubs of Hong Kong and Shekou, where the CP1 service also calls.
The enhanced CP1 service will commence sailing from Xiamen on April 15, 2018.
APL, part of the CMA CGM Group, has special cargo handling facilities and equipment to support project and heavy shipments.
