Bigge Crane and Rigging’s A-frame ring derrick (AFRD) heavy lift cranes are now available for sale.
Designed in-house by Bigge, the AFRDs are back on the market having completed projects at nuclear power plants in the USA. The cranes have been manufactured to meet the needs of the nuclear power, oil platform fabrication and decommissioning and marine construction industries.
“We are excited to bring this piece of equipment back on the market. It has successfully executed numerous critical lifts over 1,400 tons (1,270.1 tonnes) at unprecedented reaches. The AFRD performs like nothing else and has the ability to replace the use of additional heavy lift equipment on an entire project site,” said Thom Bostrom, senior vice president at Bigge.
