The Seahorse Freight Association is accepting entries for this year’s journalist awards, including a new multimedia category reflecting the evolving nature of journalism.
The award ceremony – which takes place this year on December 11th in London – is dedicated to recognising and celebrating the committed professionals who provide insightful coverage, analysis, and commentary on supply chain matters.
In addition to 10 judged and two nominated awards, this year a new category - the Multimedia Journalist of the Year award - will recognise journalists who have embraced the changing media landscape by delivering compelling stories, investigations, or analyses through various multimedia channels, including podcasts, videos, and interactive web content.
“This addition reflects the evolving nature of journalism and its crucial role in keeping the supply chain industry informed and engaged,” said Emma Murray, founder and ceo of Meantime Communications, and chair of the Seahorse Freight Association.
This year’s awards are supported by headline sponsor AAL Shipping, with categories sponsored by the TT Club, ABS, Lloyd’s Register, Nautilus International, and entertainment sponsored by Awery Aviation Software.
The judged awards categories include Air Cargo, Overland, Maritime, Technology, Multipurpose, Supply Chain, and Multimedia journalist of the year, as well as Journalist of the Year, News and Feature Journalist of the Year, and Rising Star of the Year.
Winners of the judged awards will receive cash prizes and be presented with a trophy during the event. There will be two nominated awards for Personality of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
The judging panel comprises 11 experts from across the supply chain, journalism, and PR sectors, bringing extensive expertise and credibility to the awards programme.
“The Seahorse Freight Association Journalist Awards stand as a testament to the enduring impact of journalism on our industry’s growth and transformation, highlighting its invaluable role in keeping the supply chain community informed and engaged,” said Annie Roberts, divisional director of DVV Media International’s logistics division and vice chair of the Seahorse Freight Association.
Journalists, reporters, and media organisations passionate about supply chain journalism are encouraged to submit their work and be part of this prestigious celebration of excellence. The deadline for submission is Friday, November 11.
