March 16 - Transfennica's service between Zeebrugge, Belgium and Bilbao, Spain, has seen a significant increase in capacity since January 2012.
The two ships Kraftca and Trica now operate three sailings per week in the existing schedule and Transfennicasays that the two con-ro ships have a capacity of 200 trailers, cabins for 12 drivers and over 600 teu as well as being suited for all types of project cargo and heavy cargoes up to 220 tonnes.
Since January 2012, Spliethoff has also commenced a service from Zeebrugge to Philadelphia, USA, resuming that previously delivered by TransAtlantic.
The Spliethoff service is a regular operation which calls in Zeebrugge every 20 days.
