June 28 - Straightpoint has named Wayne Wille as technical sales manager, bringing over 20 years of lifting industry experience to the load cell equipment manufacturer.
According to Straightpoint, Wille is well known to end users and distributors across North America, having sold the products of another supplier in the region.
David Ayling, director of Straightpoint, commented that Wille has been at the "coalface" of the industry for many years, and explained that the manufacturer is excited to combine his attributes with its own tools.
"This industry has gone beyond the simplicity of what is being lifted and how much it weighs," said Wille.
"While those core principles remain, equal gravitas must be placed on data collection and the speed at which we can transfer accurate information from below-the-hook to professionals overseeing the lift. That is in addition to the constant challenges presented by the staggering capacities that modern day equipment can lift and move."
