June 11 - Dockwise's semi-submersible vessel Dockwise Vanguard has loaded Diamond Offshore's semi-submersible rig Ocean Patriot in Singapore, destined for Firth of Forth in Scotland.
Dockwise Vanguard's crew began by ballasting the vessel to a draft of 25 m, creating a 9.5 m water depth over the deck and allowing sufficient space to load the rig, which had a draft of 8.5 m.
After positioning Ocean Patriot over the deck of the Dockwise Vanguard, the semi-submersible vessel then began deballasting to get ready for installation of the seafastenings.
Ocean Patriot, which has a weight of 22,174 tonnes, is expected to arrive in Firth of Forth around July 23, 2014.
