The 747-8 programme was launched following a firm order from NCA and Cargolux on November 14, 2005 and NCA says it was part of the 'Working Together Team' that contributed to the development of Boeing 747-8F.
NCA had previously announced that it would put the 747-8F into service in mid-August, mainly on routes to Asia and North America, adding that it intends to maximise the fuel efficiency and exceptional environmental performance of the aircraft in both scheduled and charter operation.
