October 19 - Van Oord has installed the 150th and final foundation at the Gemini offshore wind farm off the coast of the Netherlands in the North Sea.
Van Oord's own installation vessel, Aeolus, worked together with Swire Blue Ocean's vessel Pacific Osprey to complete the installation in a record time of three-and-a-half months.
In February 2016, both vessels will return to the project site in order to complete the installation of the 150 wind turbines. Aeolus and Pacific Osprey will sail from Esbjerg, Denmark, where the wind turbines are produced and stored by Siemens.
