August 2 - Derrick Deakins has been named president of Houston, Texas headquartered Bishop Lifting Products, Inc.
Deakins joined the lifting, rigging and load securement specialist as chief financial officer in 2007 and was named chief operating officer during early 2013.
"He has been instrumental in the development and execution of both our tactical as well as our strategic plans and is a valuable part of our executive management team", said Otis Dufrene, ceo of SBP Holdings, Bishop Lifting Products' parent company, where Deakins is also a member of the board of directors.
Deakins transitioned into his new role on August 1, 2013.
