September 19 - Daimler Trucks North America has presented its new heavy-duty Freightliner Cascadia, which it says is the most advanced truck it has ever produced.
Daimler says that its new Freightliner Cascadia, which will be available from January 1, 2017, sets high standards in connectivity, fuel efficiency and safety technolgoies.
The manufacturer launched the Cascadia range in 2007 and has since sold 412,000 units of the tractor unit in North America.
"The new Cascadia is more than an update of past successes. It pushes fuel efficiency, connectivity, and safety technology to a new level," said Martin Daum, president and ceo of Daimler Trucks North America.
