April 25 - Japanese international classification society ClassNK has released its 2013 edition of Rules and Guidance for the Survey and Construction of Steel Ships.
ClassNK reviews and updates its technical rules and guidance as part of an ongoing process to improve the safety of life and property at sea - and to protect the marine environment. The 2013 edition features a number of amendments over the 2012 guide that are a result of research, damage investigations and statutory rule and regulation amendments.
