January 12 - Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has acquired the shares of its joint venture partner in Turkey giving it 100 percent ownership of Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Ltd Sti, bringing it into line with the rest of the group's worldwide operations.
Originally established as a joint venture with a local cargo operator in 2006, he wholly owned subsidiary will still be led by Tayfun Basak as country manager for Turkey and will also move to new offices in Istanbul's World Trade Renter.
Meanwhile, in Brazil, the company is set for further expansion following a move to a brand new office facility in Campinas, the third largest city in the state of Sao Paulo. In addition to the move to the new office, the team recently welcomed the arrival of two new sales executives in João Carlos Nandes and Marcel Cahen, who bring with them a wealth of experience in the air cargo sector and luxury travel markets.
