February 2 - BBC Chartering has shipped a 400-tonne heat exchanger unit from Mumbai, India to Saudi Arabia for delivery to Sadara Chemical Company's complex in Jubail Industrial City.
The heat exchanger and additional equipment was shipped on board the 9,300 dwt BBC Fuji, which has a lifting capacity of 700 tonnes.
When completed, the Sadara chemical complex will consist of 26 chemical manufacturing units and be one of the largest of its kind in the world, producing about 1.5 million tonnes of ethylene per annum.
The plants are scheduled to become operational during 2015.
