December 8 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has flown a horizontal stabiliser for a Boeing 737 from Shanghai to Chicago, for final delivery by truck to the aircraft manufacturer's factory in Seattle.
The component's five individual pieces were delivered onboard two Boeing 747 freighter flights from China to the USA over the course of 24 hours.
"We managed to reroute the initially EU-destined flights to the US within a short period of time, to ensure an on-time delivery," said ABC's vice president of sales and marketing, Robert van de Weg.
