For the first leg of the journey, the equipment had to be moved from Lincoln to the loading depot in Southampton. The shipment comprised two 40 ft flatrack containers; four crates that measured 4.98 m x 4.43 m x 3.07 m; and one crate that measured 3.71 m x 1.4 m x 2.22 m.

Denholm Good Logistics handled this part of the project, organising the loading, lashing and securing of the out-of-gauge (OOG) cargoes. Liaising with the haulier daily ensured police escorts where in place at the correct time and location, enabling a streamlined process. Throughout the entirety of the process, Denholm Good Logistics ensured that the customer, LS Cargo, was updated on the project’s status.

Once the cargo arrived in Southampton, Denholm Good Logistics unloaded the units from the trailers onto flatracks for ocean transport.
