Members of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) have been busy with project moves, with Airland Logistics delivering heavy machinery for a mining project in Botswana and Ambercor Shipping handling a heavy cylinder unit from Belgium to the USA.

Airland Logistics delivered 881 tonnes worth of machinery for a mining project in Botswana.

Airland Logistics, a member to the WWPC for Denmark, successfully delivered heavy machinery from Ghana to a mining project in Botswana. The shipment totalled 881 tonnes and 3,277 cu m, including eight Caterpillar 777 dump trucks which weighed 75 tonnes apiece.

Airland Logistics used a combination of ro-ro and multipurpose vessels to move the cargoes to Botswana, with specialised trucks completing the final stretch of the delivery to the project site.

Ambercor Shipping transported a heavy cylinder unit from Belgium to the USA.

Ambercor Shipping, a member of WWPC for the USA and Canada, successfully managed the transportation of a 67-tonne hot air autoclave cylinder unit. Starting out in Germany, the piece was moved to Belgium and exported from the port of Antwerp to Baltimore, Maryland. From there, it was delivered overland to Walton, Kentucky.

Measuring 3.1 m x 9.72 m, the overland transport within the USA involved specialised haulage which extended over four days.

Last week, HLPFI reported that Ambercor and Origin FGL Lojistik managed the shipment of two rotors from Türkiye to the USA.
