Brazil-based Over Projects and Argentina’s Platetrade have teamed up to deliver heavy components for the expansion of a Heineken brewery in Ponta Grossa, Brazil.
The project required a total of 18 shipments over a five-month period, via the port of Paranagua, Brazil. The two companies jointly took care of receiving breakbulk pieces, stripping out-of-gauge containers, and deliveries to the jobsite. The 11,259 cu m of cargo comprised 531 pieces, with the widest measuring 6.3 m. Nine pieces delivered to the final jobsite required police escorts.
In total, 49 out-of-gauge flatracks and 94 standard containers were shipped to the port.
Over Projects and Platetrade are both members of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
