Mexico's Tradelossa has acquired a power tower hydraulic gantry system from Lift Systems.
The 34PT5400WT model features four lifting units. When using two units, the gantry has a maximum capacity of 250 tons (225 tonnes) to a height of 27 ft 6 inches (8.4 m); with all four lifting units, the gantry has a maximum lifting capacity of 500 tons (450 tonnes), to a height of 8.4 m.
According to Tradelossa, the gantry recently performed a test lift of a 200-ton (181.4-tonne) transformer (pictured below).
Meanwhile, Tradelossa has delivered oversized components for the Norte III combined-cycle power plant project in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Responsible for the transportation, port handling, lifting operations and storage for the different components, Tradelossa utilised SPMTs and hydraulic trailers to handle four gas generators and four gas turbines.
The generators weighed 266 tons (241.3 tonnes) and measured 9.44 m x 3.7 m x 4.26 m. The gas turbines weighed 179 tons (162.4 tonnes) and measured 8.91 m x 4.03 m x 4.34 m.
