India-based project logistics and freight forwarding company Total Movements has transported a 1,286-tonne LC-fining reactor.
The reactor was moved using SPMTs and crossed a bridge which had been designed by Total Movements’ engineering team. The steel girder bridge was built as the original structure could not handle the load of the reactor, with the new design measuring 75 m in length and capable of handling 1,550 tonnes.
The bridge design received approval from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, in Mumbai.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that Total Movements had upgraded its heavy transport fleet.
