The first-ever jacket foundations to be produced in Taiwan are on their way to the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind farm.
According to project developer Ørsted, the first batch of six jacket foundations produced locally by SDMS left the Sing Da Harbour in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, earlier this week. Designed to perform under the unique local weather and seabed conditions and with an impressive height of approximately 80 m, the first Taiwanese jacket foundations constitute a true milestone for the local offshore wind industry, Ørsted added.
