Swire Projects has delivered approximately 20,000 cu m of dredging equipment from Payra, Bangladesh to Jebel Ali, UAE.
The heaviest unit – a 225-tonne pontoon – was loaded at anchorage onto Swire’s multipurpose I-type vessel, Pacific Integrity. The 19,600 dwt ship is fitted with two 240-tonne lift capacity cranes.
The port of Payra, located at Kalapara in Patuakhali, Bangladesh, is difficult to access due to its remote location and limited infrastructure and facilities. To overcome these challenges, the cargoes were loaded from barges stationed offshore, with heavy lifts completed within five days.
In November 2024, Swire Projects shipped four wind turbine sets from China to Vietnam.
