Royal Cargo Vietnam has delivered two oversized feedwater heaters from Hai Phong port to the Mong Duong 2 thermal power plant in the Quang Ninh Province.
One unit measured 15.3 m x 2.8 m x 3.8 m and weighed 85 tons (77.1 tonnes); the second measured 12.4 m x 2.7 m x 3.8 m and weighed 81 tons (73.5 tonnes).
Royal Cargo was responsible for organising Customs clearance, as well as inland transportation using its own fleet of trailers and prime movers. At the site, Royal Cargo manoeuvred the loads into an upright position.
Tuan Nguyen, general director of Royal Cargo Vietnam, said the delivery of the feedwater heaters was a challenging task for the team, which had to take into consideration the size and weight of the components for the 120 km transport via busy and narrow roads.
Royal Cargo is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
