Anjeon Enterprise deployed 96 axle lines of Cometto MSPE EVO2 self-propelled modules to transport a 3,000-ton (2,721.6-tonne) patrol ship in Goseong, South Korea.
The vessel was transported from South Korean shipbuilder SamKang’s yard in Goseong to the floating dock – a distance of approximately 300 m.
Anjeon Enterprise divided the 96 axle lines into 16 six-axle units. The MSPE EVO2 modules have a payload capacity of 60 tons (54.5 tonnes) per axle line; four power pack units (PPUs) and two spacers were also deployed.
The ship is intended for the Korea Coast Guard (KCG) in Namhae, and will replace the Jaemin Patrol Ship No. 1 – built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).
The patrol ship is the first in South Korea that includes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAC), Cometto said.
