Oxbo Mega Transport Solutions has removed three transformers, units, weighing 130,000 lbs (59 tonnes) each, from the Dalles dam in Washington, USA.
The units, which were removed with a jack and slide system, and measured 5 m x 3 m x 4.75 m. They were transported to Salem, Oregon using a girder bridge trailer.
The total gross vehicle weight for each load was 242,000 lbs (109.7 tonnes).
Meanwhile, Oxbo was contracted to transport two evaporator vessels approximately 920 miles (1,480.6 km) from a fabrication facility in Oregon fabrication facility to a chemical plant in central California.
To handle the components, which weighed 138,000 lbs (62.6 tonnes), Oxbo deployed SPMTs from Goldhofer and 13-axle trailers.
The evaporator vessels measured 90 ft (27.4 m) in length.
Oxbo also replaced a set of transformers, weighing 50,000 lbs (22.7 tonnes) each, at a dam in Oregon using a jack and slide system.
