Joseph Merritt Group has handled the relocation of four modular housing units to a storage facility in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, UK.
The units, designed by KLEG Offsite Build, comprised 16 individual pieces that were purchased by a housing association based in Ripley.
Merritts dismantled the housing units and transported the pieces from Beeston, UK using specialist low loader trailers. In order to position the components on the trailers, Merritts utilised a mobile crane and Versa-Lift 25/35 forklift.
The team working on the project arranged a traffic regulation order to enforce parking restrictions in the vicinity of the works, allowing ease of access for the vehicles. According to Merritts, multiple trailers were used to for optimum efficiency and minimal disruption.
