Heavy transport engineering specialist Mammoet will provide an adjustable bridge solution as a levee crossing for the delivery of modules to the Plaquemines LNG project in Louisiana, USA.
Mammoet will test and construct the bridge and its components, which will remove flood delays from the project schedule allowing for round-the-clock offloads. During the first half of 2022, Mammoet worked with the Weeks Massman joint venture to complete the foundation of the ‘mega bridge’, including the driving of the piles and installation of the pile caps. Other components are currently undergoing testing.
Mammoet sales manager, Mike Cook, said: “Extensive experience and engineering led to the design of the mega bridge. It is capable of achieving never before accomplished weight capacities.”
