Mammoet has completed the load out of a 10,200-tonne topside module in Singapore.
Seatrium Singapore (formerly Sembcorp Singapore) tasked Mammoet with the work for Shell’s floating production unit Whale Field, which will be located in the Gulf of Mexico.
For the topside module load out, Mammoet utilised 24 skid shoes, with a capacity of 650 tonnes each; 12 push-pull units; four skid tracks measuring 135 m; and 12 link and transport beams.
The floating production unit, comprising the topside module atop a four-column semi-submersible floating hull, will weigh 25,000 tonnes in total.
