Mammoet’s Schelde pontoon helped Damen Maaskant to float off a 700-tonne yacht after a three-year conversion project.

Arriving as the Lou Spirit, the vessel, which was originally delivered in 1979, emerged from the shed as ‘Lady Esther’. It had been extended to 60m in length.

Mammoet’s SPMTs moved the vessel from the refit facility to the quay, over a RORO ramp and onto the pontoon, which was then lowered into the water below.

Mammoet also weighed the vessel before the operation, to ensure a successful launch.
