Mammoet’s crane services team in Louisiana, USA, recently completed the successful transport and lift of a lunar lander at the Infinity Science Center in Mississippi.
Utilising a LTM 1250-5.1 crane, Mammoet carefully lifted the 6 m-high moon lander over the Science Center’s roof before setting it into place in front of the building.
The moon lander, which is constructed from military-grade aluminium and weighs 2 tonnes, has been used for training astronauts.
