Louis Dreyfus Armateurs subsidiary, LD Seaplane, has loaded the second batch of 28 engines for the Dassault Mirage F1 fighter aircraft in Montoir, France.
The cargoes, loaded on Mafi trailers, were transported to Mobile, USA on a 14-day voyage using LD Seaplane’s direct ro-ro service, which was launched in May 2018.
Capable of handling ro-ro, project and oversized cargoes, LD Seaplane will increase the frequency of the service in April 2019 to two departures per month.
A third shipment of engines for the Dassault Aviation aircraft is expected for the end of 2018, or beginning of 2019.
