Laso Transportes of Portugal has transported components for six towers to the Los Barrios wind farm in Andalusia, Spain.
Laso opted for Nooteboom’s Super Wing Carrier trailer to transport the components, which included 66 trips from two locations – Aranda and Motril, both in Spain.
Heavy rain and strong winds did halt the project, however Laso managed to deliver all of the components to the wind farm regardless.
“This project was quite distinct from our usual operations, presenting new challenges that required us to develop and implement specific solutions,” said the project coordinator. “Team spirit, mutual support, and collaboration were crucial to overcome each obstacle.”
Last month, HLPFI reported that Laso is to open a new facility in the Basque Country, Spain.
