Jumbo’s heavy lift vessel Fairpartner has navigated through Immingham lock in the UK to deliver two ship-to-shore cranes as part of the Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Humber Container Terminal expansion.
Kalmar and Rainbow Cargotec Industries have supplied the cranes. They are worth approximately GBP11.5 million (USD15 million) and are part of the upgrade and improvement programme to future-proof the terminal, extend its footprint and maximise efficiencies.
Following a commissioning period, Kalmar will provide a training and familiarisation programme before the cranes enter services loading and unloading seagoing vessels in Immingham.
