Earlier this month, Turkish Cargo transported 17 horses to Istanbul and Dubai, respectively, on two separate freighter flights.
15 foals and horses were flown from Chicago, USA to Istanbul, Turkey, which will be used in a breeding programme.
The horses were carried in five bespoke stalls featuring nonslip surfaces and rounded edges, to ensure a comfortable journey.
In the second operation, two racehorses, named Good Curry and Peri Lina, were transported from Istanbul to Dubai UAE ahead of the Dubai World Cup – one of the world’s largest horse racing events.
Turkish Cargo a member of the Animal Transportation Association; it states that it also abides by IATA live animals regulations (IATA LAR) for the storage and transportation of animals.
