Jumbo has moved a 1,929-tonne wash tower from Pyeongtaek, South Korea to Jubail, Saudi Arabia on behalf of Samsung Engineering.
The unit was transported on the heavy lift vessel Jumbo Kinetic for the JUPC petrochemical project.
Measuring 101.1 m x 10.8 m x 11.4 m, the wash tower was loaded on to the vessel using the ship’s own cranes. According to Jumbo, the unit is the heaviest piece of cargo it has ever lifted.
Jumbo also transported four columns from Zhangjiagang, China to Saudi Arabia for the project.
