Fortune International Transport has coordinated the delivery of a railway bogie from its manufacturing site in the province of Brescia, Italy.
Weighing 115 tonnes, and measuring 11 m x 7 m x 4 m, Fortune International moved the bogie on a specialised truck to the river port of Mantua. Here, it was transferred onto a barge for onward transport to Marghera.
In Marghera, the bogie was loaded onboard an ocean-going vessel for shipment to Asia.
Fortune International is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) in Italy.
Meanwhile, fellow PCN member Logistics Plus has handled the transport of industrial heat exchangers from India to Türkiye.
The heat exchangers measured 13 m x 2.43 m x 1.9 m and weighed 16.7 tonnes each. In total, the 800 cu m shipment tipped the scales at 200 tonnes.
