FLS Projects Thailand has handled the delivery of equipment for a pulp and paper production plant from Pori in Finland to Bangkok.
Over 8,000 cu m of cargo was transported on a chartered vessel and discharged in Laem Chabang.
Upon arrival in Thailand, the oversized cargoes, the heaviest of which weighed 111 tons (101 tonnes), were offloaded onto barges for transportation across the Gulf of Thailand and along the Chao Praya River to a jetty in Ayutthaya.
FLS Projects was also responsible for the road transport from the jetty to the project site, as well as sourcing the necessary permits from the Department of Highways, clearing obstacles along the route and arranging road escorts.
