Russia-headquartered logistics group Fesco has completed the delivery of three transformers from Novorossiysk to a combined heat power plant project in Moscow.
Each transformer weighed 167 tons (151.5 tonnes) and measured 8.5 m x 3.2 m x 4.1 m.
At the port of Novorossiysk, each transformer was unloaded from the ship directly onto a special railcar. On arrival in Moscow, each unit was discharged and delivered to the power plant by road.
Fesco also coordinated the unloading and rigging operations at the final project site using specialised equipment.
Each transformer was delivered to Moscow individually and Fesco said that the entire project took three months to complete. The average time to transport each transformer was 15-20 days.
