Express Global Logistics (EXG) has completed the transport of nuclear power plant equipment from China to southern India.
The move involved breakbulk ocean movement from Lushun Port, China, to Tuticorin Port, India, along with import Customs clearance, port handling, inter-carting, and a 250 km road haul from Tuticorin to the designated site using heavy-duty trailers.
The sailing from China to India took 21 days. The cargo weighed 3,708 tonnes, split into 36 individual pieces. The largest individual piece measured 9 m x 5.6 m x 5.7 m, while the heaviest item tipped the scales at 59 tonnes.
“Meticulous planning and execution in handling such volumes and heavy packages, despite geopolitical challenges and vessel space shortages in China, demonstrated our capability to adapt and meet specific client requirements under difficult circumstances,” said an EXG spokesperson.
In July, EXG completed the transport and load-out of 14 critical modules in the southern part of India, intended for the world’s largest green hydrogen energy project in Saudi Arabia.
EXG is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India.
