Express Global Logistics (EXG) has successfully delivered heavy cold boxes and associated accessories from China to India.
The project included the shipment of nine packages, including four cold boxes measuring 33.5 m x 4.95 m x 4 m. With a total gross weight of 390 tonnes and a volume of 2,500 freight tons, the operation demanded exceptional precision and specialised handling. The cargo’s journey began at an eastern Chinese port, traversing international waters before reaching western India. From there, the shipment embarked on an extensive 1,500 km inland journey to its final destination in the northern part of India.
EXG mobilised three mechanical trailers, 40 hydraulic axles, three spacers and four pullers This carefully selected equipment combination proved essential for maintaining cargo integrity throughout the diverse terrain encountered during transit. The project’s success hinged on significant infrastructure modifications along the transport route. EXG organised extensive civil works, including the expansion of toll plaza passages and the modification of sharp turns to accommodate the oversized loads.
The transportation of such exceptional cargo required comprehensive coordination with multiple authorities. EXG secured all necessary permits and arranged police escorts across various jurisdictions.
EXG is member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India.
