DEME Offshore secured a contract for the transport and installation of jackets and topsides for two substations at the Hollandse Kust offshore wind farm, located in the Dutch part of the North Sea.
DEME will also supply and install scour protection for both substations.
Scour protection and the jacket will be installed at the Hollandse Kust Noord substation during the second half of 2021, with the topside following next summer. At the West Alpha substation, the jacket will be installed in the summer of 2022, with the topside following in mid-2023.
The contracts were awarded by Engie Solutions-Iemants (a subsidiary of Smulders) and the platforms are expected to come online in 2023 and 2025, respectively.
