Chilean crane service provider Trex has taken delivery of six Demag all-terrain cranes.
The order included a 100-tonne capacity AC 100-4L; a 160-tonne capacity AC 160-5; an AC 220-5, with a lifting capacity of 220 tonnes; a 250-tonne capacity AC 250-5; as well as AC 300-6 and AC 350-6 models, which feature a payload of 300 tonnes and 350 tonnes, respectively.
The units were loaded on board an NYK ro-ro vessel at the Bremerhaven auto terminal, operated by BLG Logistics Group, in Germany for transportation to Chile. Stevedore AHB Atlantik Hafenbetriebe was responsible for loading the cranes plus 125 accessories.
The voyage to the eastern coast of South America, which covered a distance of around 7,726 nautical miles, took around 30 days. Four of the Demag cranes were unloaded at the port of Iquique, and the remaining two at the port of San Antonio.
