Germany-headquartered project freight forwarder Dako Worldwide Transport has delivered 25 wind turbines from India to the USA.
On hand to support the Gonzaga Ride wind project in California, Dako delivered the Nordex N149 turbine components from Chennai, India, to Stockton, California.
Roughly 8,000 freight tons (FRT) was loaded across 75 separate lifts. Project cargo included 25 nacelles – each weighing 67.6 tonnes, 25 drive trains – each 73.2 tonnes, and 25 weather masts and accessories.
Markus Keller, the company’s in-house certified marine surveyor and heavy lifting specialist, was on hand to oversee every step of the move.
In January 2025, DAKO delivered the first set of wind tower components to the Dolores wind farm in Mexico.
